Update made for storage license applications

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has made an update regarding pre-licensing and licensing applications for storage-based electricity generation facilities.

According to the decisions of the Board published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette, evaluation in the applications will be made only based on the mechanical installed power of the electricity generation facility.

In the Board Decision published on October 27, 2022, and announced in the Official Gazette on November 19, 2022, it was stated that evaluation would be made based on the total mechanical installed power of the generation facility and the installed power of the electricity storage unit.
