In the international technical and strategic conferences to be organized in parallel with the fair, experts from Turkey and the world on more than 30 topics will share their knowledge on current issues and technological developments with the audience. At the Solar+Storage NX Conferences, which will transform into a C-level information and networking platform, the importance of solar energy and storage technologies in the global struggle against climate change will be discussed in full detail, while developments and opportunities in other clean and renewable energy sources that will provide solutions to the rapid increase in energy demand will also be discussed. In addition, it will also create the necessary infrastructure for the preparation of a more reliable emission inventory and the development of climate change policies with the co- operation of all stakeholders.
The technical conference topics, which are determined under five main headings: solar+HUB, storage+HUB, decarb+HUB, business+HUB and digi+HUB, will encourage the use of solar energy and storage and will ensure that promotional activities are brought to the agenda.
In this session, where we will put the solar energy sector in Turkey on the agenda, which continues to develop with the goal of 2050, the current situation of solar energy in Turkey, which is a clean and economical energy source, technological developments, the importance of floating solar power plants in energy transformation, understanding the versatility of combining solar energy with the agricultural sector and the importance of energy independence will be discussed.
The increasing use of renewable energy and the expansion of energy storage integration capacities and electrification, and especially the greening initiatives of industry and transportation sectors are rapidly increasing the global demand for batteries. With these developments, the importance of storage in the carbon neutrality target, the past, present, and future of developing battery technologies, energy storage project opportunities in Turkey, application areas of electricity storage, ancillary services, load shifting, load limitation and the need for information sharing on these issues come to the fore. These sessions, which will be held under the title of storage+HUB, will also pave the way for the dissemination of developing storage and battery technologies.
In the sessions that will be carried out to mirror the growing need for decarbonization strategies in the energy sector, the leaders of the energy ecosystem will talk about the goals of reaching net zero by the year 2050 and the strategic steps to be taken in this direction, the opportunities, and challenges in the energy markets in the decarbonization race, and the long-term decarbonization strategies in Turkey.
This session on digital transformation in the energy sector will focus on the problems experienced by Turkey in the digital transformation process, solution suggestions regarding the lack of infrastructure, data security and cyber security measures accompanying the widespread use of cloud technology, remote monitoring, and management of power plants, IoT and the future of 5G.
The sessions, which will bring together stakeholder groups that constitute the parties of energy transformation investments and financing such as policy makers, international and national financial institutions, energy sector players, technology suppliers, consulting companies, will bring the financing and future of the energy sector to the agenda. Topics such as new financing instruments brought by the energy transition for the needed green projects and emerging investor profile, energy transition perspective and strengthening the market mechanism, and renewable energy financing models will be discussed by financial solution providers possessing profound expertise.
